VSE-team from district 1210 to Finland in September 4th – 18th

Our district 1410 has made a MOU (memorandum of Understanding) – a deal with district 1210 (http://www.rotary1210.org) in England of VSE  (Vocational Study Exchange). District 1210 and North West Midlands includes 52 clubs in  Staffordshire and Shropshire and partly in English West Midlands.

It is similar exchange as was GSE (Group Study Exchange), this one takes two weeks. The purpose is to find 1-2 different work places per team member. Also host families are needed 1-2 per team member. If you are interested to host and practise your English language and culture, please sign in heidicaven@gmail.com.

And remember, district’s autumn seminar is held on 14th of September – it would be absolutely great to get the team to Urjala too. Unfortunately it is the team’s only full weekend in Finland, so if programs cannot be fitted, lets make an interesting and memorable visit.

If you happen to know great work places for the team members, I thank you already in advance. Please read more below, so you’ll get the idea of needed workplaces.

We shall send a team to England in spring time (Marc-April) 2020. The team includes a leader and four members. Our team will be different than 1210 as they all are going to be rotarians. I hope that our members find this opportunity exciting and apply for the two week visit to work in similar jobs in England as you are in Finland. Some inquiries have been made already, if you are interested, please send an application by email telling about you, your work + hobbies (in English), so when the team is elected we can send the information to England.

Regards Heidi Cavén, DG 1410
